Frida Pinholt
I’m a Dane, (sometimes) getting by as a Swede, interested in the soil microbes of agricultural fields, and how the microbes can be benefitted so that carbon is stored rather than removed from the soils. For my master thesis in conservation biology, I am looking into how microbes differ in soils from a perennial crop and an annual crop to research how big an effect changing crop types have on the soil microbes and potentially benefit carbon storage.
Fun facts about me:
What is your favourite microbe?
Might be the amoebas, mainly on the basis that some of them look REALLY cool!
When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I was always inspired by Ronja Rövardotter, so what I wanted to be was someone living on her own in the forest and getting by with stuff I found in nature, not really a profession, but it looked great to me as a kid!
What was your favourite cartoon as a kid and why?
Phineas and Ferb, the songs were catchy and the things they created – always good for entertainment. However, as a young teenager I really enjoyed (and I still enjoy) The last airbender.
